Child care center wants to move to business park

A child care center currently in the Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center is looking to relocate to the Lake Wissota Business Park.

Kids USA Learning Center is applying for a conditional use permit from the Chippewa Falls Plan Commission to build a 17,000-square-foot center with a canopy.

The commission will discuss the application at its meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of City Hall, 30 W. Central St.

The permit application said the business would have 20 full-time workers and five part-time, and would be open from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays.

The building would have 12 classrooms and would accommodate up to 175 children, ages four weeks to 12 years.

The application is being made by business owners Garret and Nicole Bresina of Chippewa Falls.

" I hope they let this business into the park. Not much there now and we sure need buildings to go up. I know they are an established business, so no new tax base for the area but at least there will be some building going on and a lot will be sold. "
