Three students expelled from Chi-Hi

Three Chippewa Falls High School students were expelled this week.

Two female freshmen students have been expelled through the 2009-2010 school year after they were arrested on Dec. 3 for for delivery of schedule III narcotics at the school.

The two were allegedly selling or trading prescription Tylenol with codeine, according to Chippewa Falls Police. The girls have the option of early readmission as early as next fall if they meet certain stipulations which the school board set.

A senior student will not be allowed back into the district until after his 21st birthday.

Joel D. Kolb, 17, was arrested at the high school on Nov. 25 for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and representation depicting nudity without the persons’ consent and knowledge for having nude photos of females, including one juvenile.

There was no readmittance stipulation on his expulsion.

" Wow, no school for the next year. For these kids they probably look at this as a break. I agree if they are not forced to do something constructive during this time then we will be reading about them again very soon. Changes are they will not even go back to high school. What a waste. "

" Isnt that the same as an extra long Christmas vacation? Kids dont look at this as a learning lesson in most cases. When my dad was a kid they brought there 22s to school for hunter safty and left them in their locker! We get so parinoid that 1 out of 10,000 do something wrong that we lose track of a normal life. It is sad, but really what can we do? No one wants to be a statistic. We love our children! "

" Chipplady I strongly agree with you. I think when kids of this age get into trouble and get kicked out of school they should have alot of community service to do. Let them see what life is going to be like if they dont finish school. If they are at work they arent on the street causing more mischeif. Not that the tens of today cause alot of mischief of anything but maybe if they didnt geet to sit around then they might actually have to be decent and do what needs to be done to stay in school. "

" It should also be stipulated that they have to do community service or be in some type of program while they are suspended.
