Bowlers pick up where they left off after Thanksgiving

The bowlers in the Friday Night Spareparts weren’t too stuffed from Thanksgiving to have some of the best bowling scores for both men and women last week.

Bill Fehr, Rich Peterson, Cindy Pilgrim and Barb Hanson all had top four games or series last week at Ojibwa Golf & Bowl.

Pilgrim and Hanson finished in first and second, respectively, in both top games and top series.

Pilgrim bowled a 241 game on her way to a season-best 587 series.

Hanson bowled a 211 game and used it to finish with a 583 series.

Fehr had the city’s best game as he bowled a 279 and Peterson was one of four men in the city to bowl a 700 series or better. His score was a 704.

Brown takes top series

Larry Brown of the Tuesday Tavern league at Falls Bowl had his best night of the season last week.

Brown, who averages a 197, bowled a 751 series with games of 236, 278 and 237. The series was the best for the week and placed him third for the season.

The other top series were bowled in the Wednesday Retailers league at Falls Bowl. Al Gwiazdon had the second-best series with a score of 735 and league-mate Terry Dachel bowled a 728.

Mason, Brown round out top games for week

Tom Mason of the Retailers league and Brown both tied for the second-best game of the week.

Each man rolled a 278 game in their respective leagues.

Bowe, Foiles other top women bowlers

The top three for best game and best series for the week by women in Chippewa Falls was rounded out by Kathy Bowe and Erin Foiles.

Bowe bowled a 208 for the third-best game last week. She participates in the Tuesday Women’s Classic league at Falls Bowl.

Foiles bowled a 570 series during the Friday Real People league at Falls Bowl. That score placed her third for the week.
