Three leagues dominated the top three standings for men and women in last week’s bowling scores.
The Wednesday Sporty Dozen and the Thursday Animal League at Falls Bowl were joined by the Wednesday Night Hustlers at Ojibwa Golf & Bowl as the top bowling leagues for the week.
From the Sporty Dozen, a women’s league in Wednesday, Bonnie Gullickson rolled a top three game and series last week. Her series of 615 was the best for the week, and she had the third-best game with a game of 233.
The Wednesday Night Hustlers, another women’s league, featured the top two games for the week. Cathy Rosolack had the best game with a score of 256, one pin away from being among the 10 best men for the week.
Barb Hanson had the second best game for the week with a score of 234.
The Animal League, a men’s league, had the best series from Brian Tylee. Tylee rolled a 717 score for the top honors. The league also featured the runner-up game as Zach Schwartz rolled a 279.
Rockwell, Phillips round out top series
Donna Rockwell bowled a 605 for the runner-up honors for women in the city last week. Her series was in the Saturday Night Express at Falls Bowl.
The third-best series was bowled by Bonnie Phillips in the Ladies 400 league at Falls Bowl. She was a pin away from 600.
Minke, Seelow top 700
Tylee wasn’t the only man in Chippewa Falls to bowl a 700 series or better. Joe Minke and Tom Seelow got the job done, too.
Minke bowled a 704 last week in the Tuesday Tavern league at Falls Bowl with games of 222, 225 and 257.
His series was third-best though as Seelow had the second-best series with a 714 at the Monday Night Mens league at Ojibwa Golf & Bowl.
Derusha bowls best game
Schwartz had a very good game of 279 last week, but the top game went to Al Derusha, who bowled a 287. Derusha competes in the Wednesday Retailers league at Falls Bowl.
The third place game went to Todd Bresina. Bresina bowled a 268 in the Monday National Theatre league.
Knocking down a split
Ricky Kriese picked up the Big 4 split was he earned the spare by knocking down the 4, 6, 7 and 10 pins during the Tuesday Tavern league.
