The Chippewa Falls Police Department responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, Oct. 15

2:25 p.m. Mary Ellen Kimball reported that some of her checks were stolen and an unknown number were forged around town.

4:25 p.m. A caller reported her 10-year-old grandson was bitten in the back by a dog running at large in the 300 block of West Elm Street. Ernestina M. Ford, 39, was cited for having an unlicensed animal running at large.

Thursday, Oct. 16

8:28 a.m. One bottle of medications and $11 were reported missing from a house. Reported by Patrice M. Rubenzer, 534 Woodward Avenue.

8:39 a.m. Political signs were reported taken from a yard. Reported by Shannon E. Balts, 1312 Hilary St.

3:40 p.m. A 17-year-old was arrested for theft after $70 was reported missing from a school store money box at Chippewa Falls Senior High School, 735 Terrill St. A total of $44 of the money was recovered.

5:48 p.m. Two political signs were taken from a yard. Reported by Donald E. Radle, 140 W. Cedar St.

Friday, Oct. 17

12:33 a.m. Issak D. Gillett, 19, was arrested on a Chippewa County warrant. Reported from 315 1/2 N. Grove St.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, Oct. 15

12:40 a.m. A deputy arrested Nicholas J. Schneider, 29, for OWI on County X.

10:54 a.m. A deputy arrested James W. Unser, 50, for OWI on at County X and J.

Thursday, Oct. 16

1:16 p.m. The department was told a building will be moved on Saturday on County G at the Eau Claire County Line to the Rusk County Line.

3:51 p.m. The theft of a utility trailer was reported by David H. Raihler, 614 Westwood Drive from 23398 County TT, Cornell.

5:10 p.m. A theft was reported by Cassidy A. Stanford, 1005 2nd St., from 4313 250th Ave., New Auburn.
