Edmund J. Geissler


CORNELL — Edmund J. Geissler, 84, of 17018 210th St., Jim Falls, town of Anson, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at the Cornell Area Care Center, Cornell.

He was born May 12, 1924, in the town of Tilden, the son of William and Elizabeth (Blum) Geissler.

He married Maida M. Fasbender on Oct. 16, 1946, at Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls.

He had worked as a mechanic, truck driver and farmer all of his life.

Edmund was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Edmund is survived by: one son Joseph (Shelia) of Holcombe; four daughters, Alice (Carl) Schick of Jim Falls, Nancy (John) Lazarz of Irma, Sharon Kroll of Chicago, Ill. and Mary (Mark) Hellbusch of New York; two sisters, Eulalia (Art) Boos and Sylvia Boos both of Chippewa Falls; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his wife Maida; one son Eugene; his parents; one brother-in-law Elmer Boos; and two grandchildren, Greg and Mark Schick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 and until the time of services Monday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls.
