During September and October, applications for Wisconsin’s Home Energy Assistance Program will be accepted on a walk-in basis at the following locations:
- 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Cornell Senior Center.
- 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 at Holy Family Hall in Stanley.
- 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 26 at the VFW Hall in Cadott.
- 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Bloomer Senior Center.
Applicants must bring:
- Proof of all household income, including Social Security, SSI, pensions, etc. for three months prior to the month of application (check copies, bank statements, award letters, etc.)
- Social Security cards for everyone in the household.
- A 12-month printout from your fuel dealer.
- A 12-month printout from your electric company.
- A copy of last year’s Federal Income Tax form or Wisconsin Homestead Tax Credit form for verification of interest income.
Income guidelines are $1,300 a month for an individual, or $3,900 for three months. For a couple, they must have an income less than $1,750 a month for one month or $5,250 for three months.
