Salm noted for quick thinking on the job

David Salm was named lifeguard of the week at the Bernard F. Willi Municipal Pool in Chippewa Falls, for July 21. His parents are Claudia and Micheal Salm of Chippewa Falls.
He will be a freshman at the University of Minnesota, majoring in astrophysics. This is his first year at the pool.
His hobbies include tennis and playing in the four-square tournament organized by the lifeguards this summer.
“Dave has been another valuable addition to this years crew,” his co-workers say. “He has demonstrated his skills as a quick thinker and decision maker which is of utmost importance in this field. We are glad to have him as one of our co-workers.”
