Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin is pleased to announce that Jan Proctor, Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters, has been awarded the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin’s John Kell “Making a Difference” Award.
The award was created in honor of the late John Kell because of his commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters and the children the group serves. Kell understood the impact that an adult role model could have in the life of a child.
Proctor was selected by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin’s Executive Committee to be the 2008 recipient of the award. Proctor has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin for over 25 years.
Larry Jolivette, Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors President says, “Jan has been ‘making it happen’ for so long that sadly we seem to take it for granted. Jan’s dedication is second to none and deserves and begs to be noticed and honored.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin currently serves five counties: Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Pierce and St. Croix. The largest youth mentoring organization in Western Wisconsin, the agency serves more than 600 children in one-to-one mentoring relationships annually. The organization’s mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. Learn more at www.bbbsnw.org.
