Bar attack results in felony charges

Thomas A. Thomas, 31, 803 Radcliffe Ave., Altoona, has been charged with substantial battery and second degree reckless endangerment for an attack on a man in a Chippewa Falls bar July 17.

Thomas allegedly broke a mixed drink glass with his hand and used it to stab a man in the upper arm. The man had been talking with the bartender, who was reportedly Thomas’ girlfriend.

The man indicated his arm will require surgery to repair the damage.
