1998

Chi-Hi’s Joe Henning is featured in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd section for winning the 121 pound freestyle championship at the Hawaii USA International Wrestling Festival with a 6-0 record.

1988

Dr. John Sazama scores a hole-in-one on the par 3, 111 yard No. 6 at the Elks Country Club. Witnesses were Bill Casper, M.L. Phagerland and John Frampton.

1978

Lois Kloss sinks her first hole-in-one at Ojibwa in the ladies Thursday Morning Golf League on hole #4.

1968

Frank Hartman is honored for 50 years of services as custodian of St. Peters Church and School in Tilden.
