Eileen A. Ziebell




BLOOMER — Eileen A. Ziebell, 91, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Country Terrace in Bloomer.

She was born May 12, 1917 in the town of Auburn to Herman & Ruth (Winget) Hass. She married Gilbert “Gib” Ziebell on Sept. 22, 1937 in Bloomer.

Eileen owned and operated the Golden Thimble fabric store in Bloomer for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Bloomer Chamber of Commerce and was a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, operating her store and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by: two daughters, Joanne (Gordon) Alfter of Fremont and Judy (Dean) Horton of West Dundee, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Gib; and one brother, Lavern Hass.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Robert Otto officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
