Bonna Bergman




CORNELL — Bonna Bergman, 76 formally of the town of Ludington, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at the Cornell Area Care Center where she was a resident.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1931 in Decorah, Iowa. the daughter of the late Paul and Lois (Manley) Isenberger. The family moved to this area in 1946. She married Donald Bergman on July 23, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Stanley. Bonna worked on the farm with her husband in the town of Ludington and later worked at the Beaver Creek Reserve, various nursing homes and at the Augusta schools. She later enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Grandma “Bubbles” loved and cherished all her grandchildren very much.

She is survived by: seven children, Dale, Duane (Ann), Debra (Mike) Wiese, Douglas (Rebecca), Dennis (Earlene), all of Augusta, Dorothy (Kenneth) Girard of Stanley and David (Amy) of Cadott; 25 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; and three brothers, David “Al” (Kaki) Isenberger of Stanley, Paul “Frank” (Jan) Isenberger of Morganfield, Ky. and Russ (Ruth) Isenberger of Thorp.

She was preceded in death by: her husband on Oct. 8, 1992; her parents; one brother, Eugene Edward; a daughter-in-law, Louann Bergman; and a granddaughter, Krista Bergman.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11 at the Plombon Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Hazard officiating. Burial will be in the Ludington Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
