Tamburitzans planning annual stop in city

The Duquesne University Tamburitzans will perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the Chippewa Falls Middle School auditorium.
Tamburitzans are a group of college students who present music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring cultures. Ensemble members come from all corners of the United States and the world, bringing exceptional talents and a lifetime of performing experience to the stage.
Founded in 1937, the ensemble performs an average of 80 shows per season, coast to coast. They have received critical acclaim, both stateside and abroad for performing excellence.
Advance tickets are $10 and available at Gordy’s County Market and Korgers Furniture. Tickets at the door are $12.
Proceeds go to scholarships given by the Lake Wissota Lions Club.
