Sheriff

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls:

Friday, June 27

9:59 a.m. Someone reported a break-in to St. Simeon’s Episcopal Church, 19058 County J.

11:01 a.m. Wissota Express, 17255 County X, reported a gas drive-off.

2:39 p.m. Donald Niesen, 13711 46th Ave., reported a DVD player was stolen from a vehicle.

5:22 p.m. Joseph Parmalee Brost, 25, was arrested after a fight was reported in the Country Fest southwest campground.

7:03 p.m. A structure fire was reported at 6581 County H, Stanley. Boyd, Stanley and Cadott fire departments responded.

8:44 p.m. Mega Express, 1433 Commercial Blvd., Lake Hallie, reported a $51.33 gas drive-off.

At Country Fest, 15 citations were given for underage drinking; a wallet and miscellaneous items were reported stolen, and one fight was reported.
