Ronald H. Lea


EAU CLAIRE — Ronald H. Lea, 75, of 16110 80th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Chippewa Falls to Blanche (Frenette) and Harry Lea. He graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1950 and served in the U. S. Navy from 1950 to 1953.

Ron married Anabelle R. Underdahl on Sept. 2, 1967, in Frost, Minn.

Survivors include: his wife, Anabelle; three brothers, Dick (Jan) Lea, Bill (Karen) Lea, all of Chippewa Falls and Tom (Louise) Lea of Jim Falls; four sisters, Linda (Jim) Wrzosek of Weyerhaeuser and Scottsdale, Ariz., Sally (Dick) Hartman, Karen (Denny) Elstran and Mary (Don) Schaefer of Chippewa Falls; his brother-in-law, Arne Nord of Princeton, Minn.; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one sister, Lois Nord of Princeton, Minn.; a nephew, Bill Nord of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a niece, Christie Schaefer of Eau Claire.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Ron’s goal of receiving a perfect 29 cribbage hand was not achieved in his earthly lifetime despite millions of attempts, but his family believes he has already had several in his new life.
