Carolyn B. Guite




EAU CLAIRE — Carolyn B. Guite, 78, of 19526 56th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of LaFayette, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 18, 1930, in the town of Anson, the daughter of Myron and Christina (Rutz) McKinster.

Carolyn married Leon Guite on Nov. 26, 1955, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Jim Falls. They shared 53 wonderful years together.

She had worked for Dr. Bruno Rahn for 26 years.

Carolyn loved spending her time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sporting events, taking trips to her favorite casinos, accompanying Leon on many enjoyable bus trips, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and caring for their cat, Tashi.

Carolyn touched many lives in a very positive way and will be missed very much. She was a very special woman.

Carolyn is survived by: her husband, Leon; two sons, Steve (Sandy) Jacobson of Shell Lake and Dave (Sandi) Guite of Eau Claire; two daughters, Chris Jacobson and Pat Guite both of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Jeanne Sedlacek of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren, Shane Jacobson, Megan Jacobson, Joshua (Becky) Jacobson, Abby Jacobson, Jennifer Guite, Scott Guite and Michael Guite; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Braden Jacobson; brother-in-law, Albert (Judy) Guite of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Terrence Jacobson; one brother, Richard McKinster; and an infant sister, Patricia Ann McKinster.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. Deacon Mark C. Arnold will be officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 11 and one hour before the service Monday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls.
