Eau Claire Police arrest trio for identity theft




The Eau Claire Police Department have arrested three men police claim were involved in identity theft.

The department issued this press release:

On Friday May 9, Eau Claire Police Officers from the Special Operations Unit, Detectives and Patrol served a search warrant at 111 ½ 6th Avenue.

Our department received information that false Wisconsin Drivers License’s were being made at this location. Officers seized fake ids, computer equipment and other evidence that showed this was taking place at this location.

The following subjects were arrested:

Vadim Iljin (10-30-87), 111 ½ 6th Ave. – Forgery (three counts), identity theft (three counts).

Ryan J, Gilmore (2-18-88), 111 ½ 6th Ave. – Party to the crimes of forgery (three counts.) and identity theft (three counts).

Scott J. Klabunde (11-03-87), 207 6th Ave. – Party to the crimes of forgery and identity theft.

This investigation is continuing.
