Lake Hallie man found submerged in septic tank

LAKE HALLIE — An elderly Lake Hallie man was submerged in a septic tank at 4588 139th St. Monday before being pulled out by emergency rescue personnel.

After emergency workers performed CPR on him, the man was taken by ambulance to a hospital at 12:23 p.m.

Lake Hallie police said they initially received a call that an elderly man had fallen in a septic tank behind the residence. The man was fully submerged in the tank.

A plumbing snake, used to unplug clogs, was also found outside of the residence.

The man’s name was not released by the Lake Hallie Police department as of Monday afternoon. A department spokeswoman said a press release will be issued by the department Tuesday morning.
