The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls:
Wednesday, Feb. 13
10:49 p.m. Cadott Elementary School asked to see an officer about possible sexual harassment on a school bus.
Thursday, Feb. 14
1:03 a.m. A caller reported a two-vehicle crash involving a semi on Highway 29 at 330th Street in the Stanley area. No injuries were reported.
1:45 a.m. A Lake Hallie officer arrested Julie M. Gilbert, 48, for OWI 4th offense following a report of a vehicle slide-in at Highway 124 and County OO.
2:19 a.m. A Lake Hallie officer arrested Robert R. Winkler, 35, for OWI following a report of a suspicious man in a gray pickup at the Holiday Station. Winkler was also wanted on warrants for OWI 5th offense and OWI 6th offense and worthless checks.
11:17 p.m. A Cornell officer arrested Michael J. Hair, 22, for OWI first offense on Bridge Street.

6:53 a.m. A cellular caller reported being trapped inside Splish Splash Caw Wash, 32 E. Spruce St. An officer made contact with her by cell phone and had her push the door open button by the back door.
Accidents
The following accidents were reported to the Chippewa Falls Police Department:
Wednesday, Feb. 13
12:35 p.m. A 2003 Saturn driven by Alyssa M. Arnevik, 16, 1038 W. Spruce St., Chippewa Falls was in the drive-through at McDonald’s Restaurant, 100 W. Prairie View Road, when she said her vehicle was hit from behind by a 2001 Buick Century driven by Arlene A. Meredith, 77, 5374 173rd St., Chippewa Falls. Arenvik proceeded to drive through and then inspected her vehicle, as Meredith continued through. Meredith said she was not involved in an accident. Meredith’s vehicle had no damage while Arenvik’s vehicle had moderate damage.
8:20 p.m. A 2002 Nissan truck driven by Merrit J. Super, 21, 334 W. Dell St., New Auburn was eastbound on Bridgewater Avenue at Wheaton Street as a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jerome P. O’Connell, 69, 247 Olive St., was southbound on Wheaton Street with no traffic control. Super failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into O’Connell’s vehicle. Super said he didn’t see a stop sign. Super’s vehicle had severe damage while O’Connell’s had moderate damage. Super was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign.
Correction
The birthdate of Sylvia Hintz was incorrectly in Thursday’s Chippewa Herald front page article. She was born on Aug. 8, 1928. Also, the couple has eight grandsons and eight granddaughters, for a total of 16 grandchildren.
