Farmers Union state convention set for this weekend

The 77th annual state convention of the Wisconsin Farmers Union is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Ramada Inn and Convention Center, 205 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire.
The convention will have workshops on the local food movement, the Darfur refugee situation and the connection between bee health and agriculture.
Scheduled speakers include Gerry Campbell of the University of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, and Tom Buis, the National Farmers Union President.
