Community education classes to start in September

Boys creative movement
New this year is Boys Creative Movement, a fun and energetic class just for boys. All classes will be held every Thursday at the Cornell Food Pantry beginning Sept. 27 (extended from Sept. 13) with final registrations taken no later than Oct. 4.
Class prices range from $25-$35 per session (four classes) with a discount being offered for families with more than one child participating. Students age two and up are invited to attend.
Aquacise
Aquacise is low impact water aerobics for adults and begins Sept. 25 at Paradise Shores on Lake Holcombe. Classes are $50 for five weeks (10 sessions) and are offered at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Each class runs approximately 45 minutes and space is limited to 12 participants per class. Pre-registration is required.
Sand casting leaves class
A two-session class demonstrating how to sand-cast leaves will be on Monday, Oct. 1 and Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Cornell Elementary. Cast a mold on a sand pile, creating a natural leaf cast in cement. Painting and seal your art. These creations make beautiful candle holders, bird baths, or great gifts.
Class is limited to 20 people. Participants need to bring rubber gloves and a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Fee is $6 or $8 depending on the size cast you chose.
Register by Thursday, Sept. 27. Class time is 6:30 to 8 p.m.
