Echo Iola Fisk

BLOOMER — Echo Iola (Wesley) Fisk, born October 11, 1913 in Prentice, and formerly of Holcombe, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in the Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer.

Echo worked in the Holcombe Post Office for 30 years, 20 of these years she was Postmaster. She was active in and held offices in Eastern Star and Rebecka Lodge.

She will be remembered for her many beautiful flower gardens at her residence in Holcombe.

Echo is survived by: son, Harold P. Kron and wife Marilyn of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Valerie Caseman and husband Joe of North Carolina, James Byrd of Louisiana, Richard Kron of Texas; a stepdaughter, Dolly Fisk-Churchill of Ladysmith; brother, John Wesley and wife Marilyn of Holcombe; special nephew, Gary Loring and wife Donna of Holcombe; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her mother and father, Edmund and Mamie (Stello) Wesley; her husbands, Paul O. Kron and Perry Fisk; daughter, Evelyn Byrd; and sisters, Emma Wesley, Dorothy Hovey and Sophia Kron.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Borton Funeral Home with Rev. Cheri Miskimen officiating. Burial will be in the Holcombe Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
