Junior fair awards of excellence announced




Special to the Herald - Those earning awards of excellence in the junior fair (4-H) at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair are as follows. Results were received on Wednesday from 4-H youth development educator Jackie Johnson.

Poultry

Champion chicken: Lucas Kohls (feather-legged bantam); Reserve champion chicken: Lindsey Kohls (game bantam); Champion duck: Lucas Kohls (ducks, male); Reserve champion duck: Lucas Kohls (ducks, female); Overall champion of show: Lucas Kohls (feather-legged bantam); Overall reserve champion of show: Lucas Kohls (ducks, male).

Knitting, crocheting, stitchery

Awards of excellence: Shelby Lofthus (purse), Erin Arneson (wallhanging), Lindsey Kohls (regular quilt, twin or larger).

All junior fair checks are available at the Extension Office, including club checks for booths. Coordinators are asked to stop by the Extension Office to pick up fair premium checks for his or her club, and present them to youth at the next 4-H club meeting.
