Special to the Herald - The Chippewa Falls Public Library is sponsoring a children’s summer reading program, themed: Get A Clue. The program starts Monday and runs through July 28.
Children may register anytime during that period and receive fun incentives for reading books. Families that enjoy attending the Northern Wisconsin State Fair may be excited to learn that children ages 6-17 can receive a free pass just by reading for one hour. Other prizes and incentives may be earned by reading for 3, 6, 12 or 15 hours.
Children will receive a puzzle piece with each prize. Once children obtain all six puzzle pieces they can bring in the completed puzzle for an ice cream coupon, and a chance to win additional prizes. Some of the free events that the Chippewa Library is sponsoring this summer include:
- June 12: Face painting by Ozseeker the Clown from 2:30- 4 p.m.
