Web-based system can help people lose weight

Special to the Herald - A new online groups managed by St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls will help those wanting to lose weight.

Learn about healthy eating, weight management and proper nutrition without joining a support group or attending a class. Nutrition professionals at St. Joseph’s now offer individualized guidance with weekly lessons sent directly to each participant’s home via e-mail. Start the program any time you wish.

St. Joseph’s Hospital’s new weight management program consists of an initial one-to-one visit with a Registered Dietitian, held at the hospital, in order to set realistic goals for that individual’s specific needs.

Following the assessment, weekly lessons will be e-mailed to that individual with opportunities for questions and progress reports via e-mail.

The weight management program at St. Joseph’s Hospital is facilitated by a registered dietitian with special training in adult weight management from the American Dietetic Association. Cost is $175. For more information or to register call (715) 726-3382.
