After the harvest — getting ready for next years garden
Enjoy gardening? Now is the time to reflect on the highlights as well as the mistakes of the past growing season. Jon Behling, a local horticulturalist, will guide the class through a number of topics ranging from evaluating seed catalogs, gardening with low inputs, drip irrigation techniques and a discussion of organic techniques and chemicals to help us produce vegetables for a healthier lifestyle.
Although we will focus on vegetable production, much of the information and many of the techniques are transferable to other areas of garden interest.
Instructed by Jon Behling, the class is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13 at Chippewa Falls Senior High School library. Class fee is $5. Register by Nov. 6.
